Climate emergency
In March 2019 the Council declared a climate emergency and pledged to make Plymouth carbon neutral by 2030. The Plymouth Plan includes a number of policies that directly support the move towards a carbon neutral city but these and other policies of the plan are currently being reviewed to ensure that they align with the climate emergency pledge. Public consultation on this took place in Autumn 2020 and the review should be complete by January 2021.
