Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan
Our local cycling and walking infrastructure plan covers the Plymouth Policy Area (PPA) of the Joint Local Plan. The Plymouth Policy Area incorporates the administrative area of Plymouth along with Plymouth’s Urban Fringe.
It was chosen as the boundary of the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan because of the potential for walking and cycling trips in this area. Due to the size of the area the development of Plymouth’s LCWIP will be phased, with the intention being to add new routes each year.
The LCWIP is a live delivery plan for walking and cycling and complements Plymouth's Strategic Cycle Network.
